Mainly Maths Supports St. Catherine's Charity

Mainly Maths is supporting St. Catherine's Hospice. St. Catherine's is a registered charity.

The aim is to raise a small sum, just £200, towards the work at St. Catherines. If you have found this website useful please make a contribution.

Any donations are appreciated. The donations are managed through the well known and secure JustGiving website. You can donate using a credit/debit card or PayPal.

Mainly Maths Quizzes

As a benefit of making a donation, Mainly Maths is providing access to the New Style PPQ Quizzes and all the Topic Tests.

For a minimum donation of just £2.50 you receive access to all the quizzes, including the New Style Quizzes and the Topic Tests. You will also have access to any new quizzes added.

If you wish to access those quizzes you need to register your own username with Edu-Sol Mainly Maths quizzes. You will not be able to access using a visitor account. You register when you log in to do a quiz. If you are already logged in as a visitor, you should log out, and then attempt a quiz to open the login page.

Make sure that the first name and last name that you register with Edu-Sol match the names that JustGiving displays under Donations on the JustGiving's (Mainly Maths) web page.

If the names do not match it will not be possible to authenticate your login to the quizzes.

How to Make a Donation

To start a donation click the Please Donate button or click here to take you to JustGiving's Mainly Maths sponsor web page. The page may open in a new window. Do not use the green donate button on St. Catherine's own website.

Then click the Donate now button on the JustGiving page.

The JustGiving page may give you the impression that you are donating to Mainly Maths - but any donation you make goes direct, via JustGiving, to St. Catherine's. Mainly Maths is not part of the financial transaction and does not benefit.

There are four steps to complete.

Step 1

  • Enter the amount in the empty £ box.
  • If you wish to receive access to the quizzes, you are not allowed to use Gift Aid. In that case you can either click the "I am not a UK taxpayer" option or, if you click the "I am a UK taxpayer" option, you must then untick the "I'm not donating on behalf of a group . . " tick box.
  • If you do not wish to use Gift Aid then click the "I am not a UK taxpayer" option.
  • If you do wish to use Gift Aid then click the "I am a UK taxpayer" option. Leave the "I'm not donating on behalf of a group . . " box ticked but note that you cannot then receive access to the quizzes.
  • Enter your email address.
  • Do you have a JustGiving password? The chances are that you do not and so click No. If you click No you are asked for your name.
  • Later in the process you can add a message to JustGiving's Mainly Maths page. At that stage, you can use an alternative to the name you enter here. The alternative is displayed with your donation on the JustGiving (Mainly Maths) page. You can, if you wish, make your donation anonymous.
  • The alternative name that you enter must match the name that you register with Edu-Sol. If the name does not match it will not be possible to authenticate your login to the quizzes.
Step 2

Provide your payment details.

Step 3

Confirm your billing address. Note that there is a tick box "This is also my home address (for Gift Aid)". If you stated in Step 1 that you are not a tax payer and so are not making a Gift Aid donation, just ignore that box and leave it ticked. If you untick the box you will be asked for your home address. However, If you indicated in Step 1 that you wish to donate through gift aid and if your home address is not your billing address, you should untick the box and enter your home address. When done, click Confirm.

Step 4

Confirm your donation. You may prefer to ignore the two tick boxes and so just click Donate now.

You now have the option of changing the name you wish to display or making your name and the amount anonymous. If you wish, replace your display name with Anonymous in the text box below the Message box. However, to receive access to the quizzes, the name in the text box must match your name registered with Edu-Sol. If it is different then your Edu-sol registration cannot be validated for access to the quizzes.
